Exquisite Spices—Global Reach
GuateTraders specializes in the supply and export of high-quality cardamom, utilizing an international trade network to deliver excellence in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Our History
Founded in 1944 in Alta Verapaz amid Guatemala's democratic uprising, GuateTraders began as a post-colonial export venture linking independent growers to global spice markets. With German-influenced cardamom cultivation and newfound local autonomy, it bridged tradition and trade—quietly turning the highland into a global source of prized spices.

Harvest Integrity
At GuateTraders, quality begins at the source. We work directly with trusted growers, overseeing every step from harvest to export. Spices are hand-selected, sun-dried, and rigorously sorted to meet international standards—ensuring freshness, purity, and traceability from the Gutemalan highlands to your shelf.
At GuateTraders, sustainability is not a buzzword—it's a legacy.
Our Promise
We invest directly into communities that make our trade possible, from long-term partnerships with local growers to reinvestment in environmental resilience. Our operations are built on stewardship, not just profit: when our regions thrive, so do we. We are engaged in sustainable agricultural methods and are committed to promoting practices that protect our planet for future generations. Our sustainability promise encompasses a comprehensive approach that includes responsible sourcing, minimizing waste, and reducing carbon footprints throughout our supply chain. By partnering with local farmers who prioritize eco-friendly methods, we ensure that our products not only meet the highest quality standards but also contribute positively to the environment.
We believe that sustainable agriculture is not just a trend but a necessary commitment to preserve biodiversity and protect natural resources. Through innovative techniques and educational initiatives, we aim to empower our partners and customers alike to embrace sustainability. Together, we can build a more resilient and sustainable food system that benefits everyone—from farmers to consumers—while honoring our responsibility to the Earth.
